Strugging with Ideas for a Demonstration Speech?

It seems several are struggling with ideas for a demonstration speech. Surprisingly, my topic came easily to me – Ballet. I am not an expert at ballet, but I think it is beautiful. I took a few lessons when I was younger and even got to assist in teaching ballet to girls from ages 5-10. To find a good topic for yourself, I would suggest thinking about what you do daily, something you’ve learned (at school or from family), or of something you love to do. Could your speech be about: sports? arts and crafts? cooking? cleaning? health? games? technology? It may be useful to make a list. Imagine ways to demonstrate each topic and then pick the one you think is best. Even if it is just to inform, think of this speech as a way to teach your audience how to do something useful or enjoyable.
