This week I would like to continue talking about the demonstration speech. Plans have been finalized; tools and material have been chosen and prepared. I have carefully thought out what I want to say and how. The only remaining problem is to actually deliver the presentation. I have complete faith in my knowledge of the history and use of the items I will be demonstrating. I have only one concern, and it might apply to other speakers as well. I have to remember most, perhaps all; of the audience will not have my knowledge and experience in the subject I have chosen. So I must remember to keep this in mind, and keep my presentation informative and to the point. I think demonstration speeches are a good time to exercise a little restraint.

I agree completely, the audience will not always have the knowlege of a certain subject as the speaker. It is a bit difficult explaining something completely new to someone, it has the potental to either go right over the listeners head. This is a problem im sure others had to face as well
