Jared

Hello everybody.  I am Jared and I am 18 years old. I am currently a student over at North Adams High School but I have enrolled into the Post Secondary Education Option over at Southern State Community College and I am enjoying it so far! I run Track and Cross Country and I am doing well and I am hoping that I make it to state in track especially.

Thus far I am enjoying speech class very well, the students are very nice and Mrs. Basford our speech professor is very encouraging. The reason I am taking speech class right now is because it is actually part of my major which is Law Enforcement. But, in that reasoning I think speech is important to my major because I need to speak effectively in front of people so far my communication can be easily understandable. This Thursday April the ninth I’ll be the last but not least to read. I’ve selected a classic short story Stephen Vincent Benet’s “By the Waters of Babylon”. I am going to practice it to make sure it is at least three minutes long, so I hope you all wish me luck!

I thought your speech went really well. I thought that you made a really good choice. It was a pleasent change to hear something other that a childrens book being read.Although the people who chose to do that all did a great job its always nice to hear something different and unique. Keep up the good work..
