Learning New Things in Speech Class – Like How to use WordPress

July 6, 2009

Well, I finally got on to WordPress.  I’m not real sure how I did it but I did. I really enjoy the speech class that I’m in. The people are great, the teacher is great. She was a big help setting me up on WordPress . The one really good thing is that we are doing things that most of us have never done before so we are learning new things.

Good luck to all!

I agree. The thing I like the most is that we are all starting on the same level. We can all gain confidence through each others fears. I think everyone is doing a great job.

I couldn’t agree more with both Stacey and Josh. This class is great because everybody is supportive of each other and we all realize that everybody faces the same challenges when we’re forced to get up in front of a group and talk. With a different group dynamic, this class could have gone horribly awry for many of us, but Candee has done a great job of creating a supportive environment, and everybody in the class seems to have taken this attitude to heart. I think this is a big part of why everybody did so well on the first presentation.

Like Stacey, I’m glad that the class is giving us a chance to learn new things. In particular, the whole blogging and commenting concept of feedback is something I really like, especially in a class that only meets once a week. It gives us a place where we can share opinions and ideas between sessions. I think it may also make some people more willing to express themselves because it may be easier to say something or express a concern when they’re just typing on their computer rather than facing a whole roomful of people.

I’m really enjoying this class and I can’t wait to see how things progress over the next few weeks. I think it’s going to be really interesting to see what we learn about each as we start to give speeches about things that interest us.
