Week 3 Blog – Of WordPress and Time Flying

We’re between weeks 3 and 4 already. Doesn’t feel like the Summer Quarter has really been active that long. I guess it’s a good sign that I’m enjoying things. I’m definitely not complaining about the time flying by.

After the third class, I think I’m really starting to like the class. Not that I didn’t before, but the comfort level keeps getting better and better the more time all of us spend with one another. That never really happened to me when I was at NKU. Provided that I was in mostly music classes at NKU, but I did have some classroom situations, where this kind of “bond” was not present.

I’m also really liking the WordPress blog. A lot of people have been having problems, but I see this as a good way to teach everyone new things they can do. WordPress is a good way to do this, since it has so many appealing looks to it, it loads quick on Dial Up, and how easy posting is once you get used to the page layout. I’ve liked it a lot, that I’ve used my account for SSCCspeakers and made my own little blog page to keep myself busy. http://dissidiaff.wordpress.com

I was not expecting to see our first major speech being due to be ready by next Monday, but I’m not so surprised given the amount of time we have in the summer quarter compared to other quarters of the school year. Informative sounds like a fairly easy type of speech to give, since a lot of us already have a lot of information on the topics we will be discussing and presenting.
