First Speech

October 5, 2009 at 2:05 pm 2 comments

I’m so impressed with all of the speeches that everyone did on Wednesday in class, however now I’m really scared to do my reading. Most people did so well and put so much emotion and expression into their pieces. I felt nervous having to critique everyone because I thought they all did so well. The piece I’m going to be reading today is part of the play called The Hairy Ape, and I suggest it to everyone to read. I’m just scared about reading it because it has a lot of feeling in it and I’m not sure I will be able to speak the way the character does and have it feel the same. I hope I do as great as everyone else did! Love speech class!

I thought you did a great job with your reading. I also feel nervous when evaluating the others, I think everyone is doing great for the first time. I’m a little more worried about this next speech, I hope I can choose a topic that will make it easy for me to memorize the information. See ya next class – Tiree
