A Glimpse Back

Well, the anticipation of knowing your time to go up front and give the speech can almost kill you! No, really I suppose it wasn’t too bad. I was very nervous though. I tried to remember what one of the students told us, that the nervousness starts to go away after 30 seconds……well, nice try, but mine reached its climax at 30 seconds and then slowly subsided!
It was nice once the task was completed and I could relax in my chair and hear some more of the wonderful speeches given by our classmates! Some of the stories that were personal certainly added a special touch to the speeches that couldn’t otherwise be added. I liked every speech I witnessed and really enjoyed some of the humor sprinkled into several of them. Now, we prepare, hoping to achieve what we all set out to do with the first one, get it over a.s.a.p…….!  See you in class!
