Informative Speech Prep

January 31, 2010 at 6:09 pm Leave a comment

This past week we did our first speech which was actually a reading from a piece of material of our choice. This next speech we will be giving will be our informative speech. This will be very different from the previous one because we will not be allowed to read straight off a piece of paper. We are gonna have to practice and partially memorize the point we are gonna make. Though we are allowed to  have note cards it still will be slightly more difficult. I’m having figuring out what I want to do my speech on but I have a few ideas. We also played the stone game last week in class which I feel proved to be very helpful. We didn’t have anything in front of us to read, we had to think of our answer on the spot and present it to the group in a positive way. I look forward to hearing everybody’s speeches and learning more new things about the class! 😀
