The vampires are coming!

I really liked Shanna’s speech on giving blood. For one she did a great job at not being nervous and connected with us very well by standing in front of the podium and asking questions. I think advocating the blood drive was a good idea because it is very rewarding. I have given four times and have saved 2 lives that I know of. Everyone should come out on April 30th.  I promise it doesn’t hurt!

The reward of knowing you could help someone with such a simple way. The donation that people give, gives others the ability to live longer and possibly donate themselves. My husband is on the list to receive a kidney. The transplant can only come from those who are willing. He’s been on the dialysis machine 3x week for 12 hours a week and its been a little over 4 years now.Knowing that you could save a life will be the reward of a lifetime. Thanks for all those who do donate. Thanks for letting people know how simple it is.
