Growth and Confidence

I really was quite nervous about going to speech class but it has been an amazing journey. When we first started everyone was a stranger to each other. In the first speech, I realized I was not alone. Everyone had the same  fear of getting up in front of the class and actually talking and relaxing.

Each one spoke and began to open up. We found out we didn’t get attacked, made fun of or put down.

For the second speech, the individual subjects showed a different side of our personality.  Believe it or not it was easier.

By the third speech I noticed the confidence and boldness of each member of the class. As individuals and as a class, growth has resulted. I see the enjoyment in sharing our hobbies and our feelings.

The willingness to accept constructive criticism and praise on good speeches shows maturity and knowledge. The kindness, generosity and curiosity of youth make a well-rounded student. Each one is to be commended to allow these things to happen. As for the older student, patience, guidance and  youthful people teach us that we are never too old to learn and experience the child-like ways. Even though we have had a career, we can obtain a new one and become better people.

The growth of each student from the start to finish of this class is amazing to see. The diversity of our class is what makes it a special one. Good blog

I agree, I also noted that everyone in the class was a lot more confident by the third speech. I have to admit, I thought the second speech was the worst.
