My First Speech

April 16, 2010 at 9:05 am 1 comment

Last week on Thursday I did my first speech. I don’t know if you would really call it a speech but a readings and I surprisingly felt comfortable up there. It’s like something wants me to be up there; like it is time for me to talk about something that everyone needs to hear about. Any ways I read “Oh, the places you’ll go” by Dr Seuss and I enjoyed reading it to everyone that is in college because it tells you that when you are on your way there is always something holding you back and you need to get around that. Life is a great balancing act that we all need to deal with and I’m ok with that because not everything can be perfect. When I was reading all of my comments that everyone had to fill out about my reading they told me that I didn’t look nervous at all but I felt it. They also said that I needed to have more eye contact and to pull my hair out of my face and I will when we give our next speech which is soon.
