Second Time Around

July 20, 2010 at 8:30 pm 2 comments

After being so nervous for my first reading/speech, I was the first person to speak for our second speech.  I am starting to feel a little more comfortable in front of people now.  Also, the topic I chose was the Boy Scouts of America, something I know a lot about.  I think when a speaker knows the subject he or she is going to speak about it gives a person a more calming and confident feeling.  The speaker is not struggling to remember written notes because it is all right there in your head.

Also, I thought the every one in class did extremely well.  There were many different topics being discussed, even the topics that were repeated had different points of view on them.  You could really see the passion in couple of the speech as they pertained to some very personal issues and there was a few the were also very comical.

Everyone needs to keep up the good work.

Gregg, Wonderful job … It is great to see some people passionate about youth orginizations like the boy scouts you do not hear many people anymore talking about having to take their kids to girlscout or boyscout meetings. Today it seems like it is always soccer, baseball or softball practices. I hope you have enrolled your children
I was a girl scout myself back in the day…
