First Speech

I was nervous about the first speech. I wasn’t sure what people would think about what I was reading. I read “He Sits Alone,” by Sandra Tolson. This first reading basically took away my fears of standing up in front of people and talking or reading. I found after my reading when I got everyone’s comments back that there was a lot of people who could relate to my reading. Also, the comments where very helpful because they told me things about how I read that I didn’t realize until I read the comments and thought back about it.

I got a lot of comments that I read clear and had good pauses, and then others that said I should have more eye contact and a longer reading. All the comments were very helpful and I think I will do a much better job next time as a result.
