Texting and Driving

I gave a speech on texting and driving. I enjoyed giving my speech, this time around I was not as nervous, and I feel like it made my speech way better. I liked teaching my class about how dangerous it is to text and drive, and some of the stats still amaze me. Even though I am still guilty of texting and driving I try not to do it as much, because I know how dangerous it is. What made me chose this topic is because I wrote a paper on it last quarter, and it still interested me, and I wanted to tell other people what I had learned about texting and driving, because the results of it is very dangerous, and I wanted other people to know, because you don’t really think about the results when you are texting and driving.

I really liked your speech on texting and driving. I was serious when I said that you should go to all of the high schools and anywhere that would listen and give this speech. You did a great job, but I am sad to hear that you are still texting and driving. Be careful! Keep up the great speeches. Melinda

I think that texting and driving should be illegal. It truely is a distraction for the driver. I think that talking on the phone and driving is ok, depending on the person. Like anything else, some people can walk and chew gum, some cannot. But texting and driving is something that distracts all drivers. It keeps your eyes off the road for too long of a time. I also witnessed a driver on the 110 in Los Angeles which is an 8 lane highway, very populated, eating a piece of pie, on a plate. It’s amazing what people try to do while driving.
