Need A Haircut?

The demonstration speech seemed to be much easier than the informative speech.  I am sure that having a good understanding of my topic was beneficial,  but I also believe that a better understanding of the way that we are being taught to give a speech was very helpful. I have been a cosmetologist for many years. I worked for a salon and eventually owned a small town beauty salon with my mom as my partner.  I still do hair for a few people in my home. But even with all the knowledge that I have gained over the years about haircuts(my topic – How to give a basic haircut or trim), this speech class truly helped me to speak, demonstrate, and have a format of how to do so.

The  other students demonstration speeches were interesting, fun, and tasty.  But I especially liked the demonstration on how to paint a picture I plan to try it with my kids.  Then watching Chris get arrested was pretty informative and funny. There are a lot of great  kids in this class.

I may not ever be 100 percent comfortable speaking in front of a crowd or be a distinguished eloquent speaker, but I appreciate this class and the fact that I am learning a lot.

I also felt that the demonstration speech was much easier then the other speeches we have given. I also think that it was easier because we were much more comfortable with the topics of the demonstrative speech.
