Class time well spent

I’ve really enjoyed the demonstrations that everyone has been give the past two weeks.  I think they might have really been the most fun ones yet!  They also seem to show up something personal about each one of us.

During class time with these speeches we’ve gotten to pet a cute rabbit, play games, test our artistic skills, excite our taste buds with sweets (and Play Doh!), watch a makeup artist at work, try out our paper-folding abilities, watch a horse in action, shoot some hoops, prepare  for our future, and even get a good manicure!  How many classes can claim that?

For me personally, I enjoyed doing my demo for you all.  Any nerves I might have had at the very beginning were gone by the time I got set up and finished handing out recipes to everyone.  This made it a very easy and fun speech for me to do, plus I got a bunch of positive reinforcement on the cupcakes, which is nice!  I think my skills as a speaker have improved a lot this quarter with the help of my fun classmates and our ever supportive teacher.  I’ve tried to take everyone’s suggestion’s to heart and also put out a bit of my own personal voice in the process.

All in all, I have a bunch of fun in class and will definitely miss having it next quarter.  I think everyone’s done a great job in Speech so far and I can’t wait to see what they’ll persuade me to do next week!

I enjoyed your cupcakes as well as your demonstration. I also enjoyed listening to everyone’s demonstrations and agree with you that they do teach us more about each person in the class.

Thanks everyone!! I hope the recipe was clear enough that you can make some to brighten up someone else’s day sometime, haha. And yeah, I really do think our speeches throughout the class really help to show a little bit of who we are.

You did a good job showing everyone your demonstration speech. I have also noticed how my nerves are starting to subside too. Good job!

Thanks Carrie! You were a great partner too! I think we worked very well together, both bouncing ideas off of the other and sharing the work load. I think it was pretty neat that we got to do a speech with a partner, it certainly was different than doing it alone! And you can steal away! Just have fun with it and don’t overfill the cups haha.
